Vessel owners and operators urged to take immediate precautions and secure vessels
The Marine Department issued a safety advisory on June 14 following the issuance of the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Vessel owners, masters, and persons-in-charge of vessels are advised to implement precautionary measures and ensure their vessels are properly secured at safe locations.

The advisory is part of routine maritime safety protocols enacted during adverse weather conditions to prevent damage and ensure the safety of marine operations.

In the event of an accident, vessel operators are instructed to report incidents immediately to the Vessel Traffic Centre at telephone number 2233 7801.
