Reappointments and New Members Announced for PASS Vetting Committee

The Government confirms leadership roles and new additions to the committee to boost Hong Kong's professional services globally.
The Government announced today (December 30) the reappointments of Dr Sunny Chai Ngai-chiu and Mr Stephen Hung Wan-shun as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively of the Vetting Committee of the Professional Services Advancement Support Scheme (PASS).

Additionally, the Government has appointed Professor Raymond Choy Hon-sing, Dr Janice Ho Yuen-shan, and Ms Juliana Lam Hiu-ying as new members, along with the reappointment of 12 existing members.

These appointments will take effect on January 1, 2025, for a two-year term.

PASS offers financial support for non-profit organizations to execute projects that enhance exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong's professional services and global counterparts.

It aims to promote activities that elevate the standards and competitiveness of these services.

In line with this mission and to highlight Hong Kong's strengths post-pandemic, $50 million has been allocated to help major professional bodies in Hong Kong engage in activities organised by the Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

The Vetting Committee evaluates project proposals under PASS, advises on funding levels, monitors project implementations, and guides the Government on assessment criteria for PASS.

The complete list of the committee members effective January 1, 2025, includes leaders and representatives from major sectors committed to advancing Hong Kong's professional services globally.
