China-Cambodia Joint Logistics and Training Center Inaugurated

New facility at Ream Naval Base aims to enhance military cooperation and regional security efforts.
On April 5, 2025, a joint logistics and training center established by the armed forces of China and Cambodia was officially inaugurated at the Ream Naval Base in Cambodia.

The center is intended to facilitate cooperation between the two nations' military forces in areas such as regional counter-terrorism, disaster prevention and mitigation, humanitarian assistance, and joint training exercises.

According to statements from China’s Ministry of National Defense, personnel from both countries will be deployed to ensure the regular operation of the facility.

The joint center's construction and operational framework underscore a commitment to mutual respect and consultation between China and Cambodia.

It has been stated that the initiative adheres to the domestic laws of both nations and complies with relevant international laws and standards.

The establishment of this center is articulated as a move not directed against any third party.

Furthermore, the joint logistics and training center is positioned as a significant step toward deepening practical military cooperation, aimed at enabling both nations to fulfill their international obligations and contribute to global public security.

In a related development, on the same day, the third batch of emergency humanitarian aid supplies, dispatched by the Chinese government, arrived at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar.

This aid comes as part of an ongoing effort to provide relief following a recent earthquake in the region.

The arrivals of these supplies reflect China's commitment to supporting disaster relief efforts in neighboring countries.
