The Labour Department of Hong Kong has announced the launch of a new series of occupational safety and health (OSH) training courses for the second half of 2025. The courses will be hosted at the Kwun Tong Occupational Safety and Health Centre and are designed to enhance public understanding of OSH regulations and raise awareness of occupational health risks across different industries.

Covering a broad array of topics, the curriculum includes legal frameworks such as the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance, Confined Spaces Regulations, and Safety Management Regulation, as well as industry-specific guidance for the catering, hotel, office, and security sectors.

Additional areas include hazardous substances, gas poisoning, manual handling operations, noise hazards, lighting and air monitoring in workplaces, ergonomics, heat stroke prevention, mental health, and chronic illnesses such as diabetes and cardiovascular conditions.

Courses such as 'Manual Handling Operations and Prevention of Back Injuries', 'Occupational Contact Dermatitis', and 'Noise Hazards and Prevention of Hearing Loss' are tailored to specific workforces, including cleansing workers, residential care home staff, office employees, and professional drivers.

The program also addresses preventive strategies for musculoskeletal disorders and occupational diseases.

All courses will be conducted in Cantonese at the Occupational Safety and Health Centre located at G/F, Kwun Tong Community Health Centre Building, 60 Hip Wo Street, Kwun Tong.

Enrolment is free of charge.

Interested individuals can apply through the online registration platform (www.oshsreg.gov.hk/en) or submit applications by fax.
